Web based system for storing and administering personal data for youth affected by the KAA law (lagen om kommunalt aktivitetsansvar). The law states that municipalities must be informed of the occupation of all persons between the ages 16 and 19, who are not currently enrolled in a gymnasium education (equivalent or high school), in order to offer them internships, alternative educations etc. Initially developed for Trelleborg municipality, project has subsequently expanded into allowing multiple municipalities to use the same system, and as a consequence is now operated by the organization Sambruk, focusing on joint development and systems usage among municipalities.

The system, developed in Python/Django, offers an easy way of importing and entering personal data gathered from other instances such as CSN, Skolverket etc. and ensures that the most recent, as well as a historic, records are easily accessible. This is implemented as a sort of versioned data model whose set of fields/attributes changes over time, which proved to be quite a challenging problem. Furthermore the systems aims to be flexible in terms of which types of data can be stored, and offers the possibility to send automated e-mail/text message notifications to the affected persons. The long term project goal is, beside simplified administration and management, is being able to compile statistics on which of the follow up actions that gives the best results.
